How a traditional guarantor works

A traditional guarantor is typically a named individual, often a family member, who signs a legal agreement making themselves personally liable for unpaid rent. If the tenant fails to pay, the landlord pursues the guarantor directly.

How Rentmigo works instead

Rentmigo replaces that model with a corporate guarantee. The landlord's protection comes from a corporate product rather than a personal obligation.

What this means for tenants

You do not need to find someone willing and able to take on legal liability for your rent.

What this means for landlords

You receive a structured, documented form of protection with a defined claims process, rather than having to pursue an individual through informal or legal channels.

What about Responsible Third Parties?

A Responsible Third Party may support a tenant's application by providing financial documentation, but they are not legally liable for the rent. Their role is distinct from that of a traditional guarantor.
