What is covered

Your Rentmigo guarantee covers unpaid rent. If you miss a rent payment, Rentmigo pays your landlord on your behalf under the terms of the guarantee.

Protection includes:

  • Up to 12 months of missed rent per tenancy

  • For up to 3 years from the start date of your guarantee

  • A maximum aggregate limit of £100,000 per guarantee

Rent increases

If your rent increases during the term of your guarantee, the guarantee will cover the increased amount provided the cumulative total of all increases does not exceed 10% of the original monthly rent. If the rent increases beyond this, protection is limited to a rent amount that is 10% above the original rent declared at the start of the guarantee.

What is not covered

Your guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage to the property

  • Utility arrears

  • Council tax

  • Legal costs (other than those associated with eviction proceedings for rent arrears, where applicable)

  • Any costs unrelated to rent

These remain the tenant's responsibility and are typically covered by the tenancy deposit and the landlord's existing processes.

Where to find your terms

The full terms of your coverage are set out in the tripartite agreement signed by you, your landlord, and Rentmigo. If you are unsure about what is included, refer to your agreement or contact our support team.
