You receive payment
Once your claim is validated, payment is made to you directly in accordance with the terms of the Rent Guarantee Agreement.
Recovery is managed on your behalf
After payment is made, the full recovery process is managed on your behalf. This may include:
Contacting the tenant to discuss the arrears
Arranging mediation or a repayment plan
Pursuing legal action, including eviction proceedings, if necessary
You do not need to take separate legal action against the tenant in respect of the rent.
Ongoing arrears
If the tenant continues to miss rent in subsequent months, you reconfirm the arrears each month and payments continue to be made, subject to the monthly rent limit and the maximum aggregate limit set out in your agreement.
If the tenant repays
If the tenant subsequently makes any repayment of the outstanding rent, either to you or otherwise, you must notify Rentmigo within 30 days.
