What is Rentmigo and how does it protect landlords?

What Rentmigo is

Rentmigo is a professional rent guarantee provider. We guarantee your tenant's rent through a structured, underwritten product. If your tenant fails to pay rent, you can make a claim and Rentmigo pays you directly.

How it works

A tenant applies for a Rentmigo guarantee as part of their tenancy application. We assess them using a combination of identity verification, credit referencing, open banking analysis, affordability checks, and fraud detection. If they meet our underwriting criteria, we issue a rent guarantee.

Once issued, a tripartite agreement is signed between you, the tenant, and Rentmigo. This is the legal foundation of the guarantee and sets out the obligations of each party.

What you are protected against

Your guarantee covers unpaid rent:

  • Up to 12 months of missed rent per tenancy

  • For up to 3 years

  • With a maximum aggregate limit of £100,000 per guarantee

What it costs you

Nothing. Rentmigo is fully funded by the tenant's one-off guarantee fee. There is no charge to the landlord or letting agent.

Claims and recovery

If the tenant misses rent, you log it on your Rentmigo dashboard. Once the claim is validated, Rentmigo pays you directly and manages the full tenant recovery process, including mediation, repayment arrangements, and legal action if necessary.
