Who can apply
Rentmigo is designed for any tenant who needs a rent guarantee to secure a tenancy in the UK. This includes, but is not limited to:
UK residents without a UK-based personal guarantor
International students
International employees relocating to the UK
Freelancers and self-employed individuals
Those with non-standard income profiles
How tenants are assessed
Every applicant goes through Rentmigo's full underwriting process, which includes identity verification, credit referencing, affordability assessment, and fraud detection. The specific documents and checks required depend on the applicant's circumstances, for example whether they are employed, self-employed, or a student.
Not every applicant is approved
Meeting the basic eligibility criteria does not guarantee approval. Applications are assessed individually, and tenants who do not meet our underwriting standards are declined. This means that when you receive a Rentmigo guarantee certificate, you can be confident the tenant has been through a thorough assessment.
Responsible Third Parties
In some cases, a tenant may be supported by a Responsible Third Party, typically a parent or family member, who provides additional financial evidence to strengthen the application. The Responsible Third Party is not liable for rent and is not a party to the tripartite agreement.
What you receive
Once a tenant is approved, you receive a full guarantee certificate confirming the coverage in place, as well as a signed tripartite agreement between Rentmigo, the tenant, and yourself. You can verify this through your Rentmigo landlord dashboard.
