What it does not confirm
A pre-approval certificate is not a full guarantee. It does not confirm coverage for a specific property or tenancy. The final guarantee is only issued once a tenancy has been confirmed, the tripartite agreement has been signed, and payment has been received.
How to use it
You can download your pre-approval certificate from your tenant dashboard and share it with prospective landlords or letting agents. It is designed to give them confidence that you have been assessed by a professional rent guarantee provider.
How long is it valid?
Pre-approval certificates are valid for a limited period. The validity window will be stated on the certificate itself. If your certificate expires before you secure a tenancy, you may need to complete a reassessment.
What if the tenancy falls through?
If you are approved and the tenancy does not go ahead, your approval can be transferred to a different property within 60 days at no extra cost.
