You can begin the application process before you have a confirmed tenancy. This allows you to complete the identity verification and financial assessment stages in advance, so you are ready to move quickly when you find the right property.

What you will receive

If your application meets our underwriting criteria at this stage, you will receive a pre-approval certificate. This is not a full guarantee, it is an indication that you are likely to be approved, based on the information assessed so far.

What a pre-approval certificate does

A pre-approval certificate can be shared with landlords or letting agents to demonstrate that you have been assessed by Rentmigo and are eligible for a rent guarantee. It can help strengthen your position when applying for a tenancy.

What happens when you find a property

Once you have a confirmed tenancy, you will need to provide the property and tenancy details so we can issue a full guarantee. This may involve a further review depending on the rent amount and contract terms. You will then sign the tripartite agreement and make payment.

What if the tenancy falls through?

If a tenancy does not go ahead after you have been approved, for example, if the landlord withdraws, your approval can be transferred to a different property within 60 days at no extra cost.
