Rentmigo retains personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose it was collected. The retention period depends on the type of data and the stage of your relationship with Rentmigo.
General retention periods
Approved applications with an active guarantee data is retained for the duration of the guarantee and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, regulatory, and insurance obligations.
Declined applications data is retained for a limited period following the decision, in line with our regulatory obligations and to support fraud prevention.
Expired guarantees data is retained for a reasonable period after the guarantee ends to allow for any outstanding claims or disputes to be resolved.
Why we retain data after a guarantee ends
We may need to retain certain data beyond the end of a guarantee to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, to support the resolution of claims, or to meet the terms of our obligations as a regulated service.
Requesting deletion
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting our support team via live chat or at [email protected]. We will process your request in line with UK GDPR, though please note that certain data may need to be retained where we have a legal or regulatory obligation to do so. If this applies, we will explain the reason.
